Our members are like -minded people of all backgrounds, lay and professional, who support an interest in a natural approach to health care, from all over British Columbia and across Canada and the world, that support this OK In Health network.

Established in 2003, we provide workshops, health care practitioner's listings, articles, health tips, recipes, and more, for our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well being.

One of our main focuses is Health and Healing Workshops. We also provide specialty coverage for natural health related issues such as maternity, womens and families, our environment, natural animal care, practice & support groups, health stores & natural businesses, local health events, and workshops.

We also provide a free monthly newsletter, which reaches over 3,000+ homes. If you would like you receive a monthly OK in Health newsletter with information on upcoming workshops and events, articles, featured local practitioners and monthly free give away prizes, then please Sign up here.

The reason why we started this website in 2003 was because it is so much better to hear about a workshop or course before, rather than after the event. Together with strong community volunteer support, we worked with developing the website to help promote local practitioners, health related workshops and events.

We have over 3,000 members that receive our monthly newsletter and "OK in Health" Web stats continue to grow:

- Unique visits 400 per day / 13,000 per month (people that visit the site)
- Hits 300,000 per day / 3.5 million per year

One of the best advantages of the OK In Health website is that we can publish last minute workshops, events or changes - so we are up to date with news of workshops or local events. We recommend posting your event up to 3 months ahead of time.

We aim to have reasonable, affordable listing prices for everyone, so that every type of health related event, workshop or business, can be listed.

Each month, we have 25 to 35 Contest prizes of healing treatments, workshop/event tickets or healthy gift baskets donated by practitioners and health related businesses. We also have new monthly articles written by knowledgeable members of our communities.

Hosting Special Events
Maria and OK In Health host some of the world's most renown teachers, each year. In 2005, 2006, and 2007, Maria brought Chris Stormer from South Africa to the Okanagan, in BC. In 2008, Maria invited DR. Martine Faure Alderson from England to come to teach her Cranial Sacral Reflexology course, which was a great success. Due to this course filling up so fast, we plan to bring Dr. Faure Alderson over from England again in September 2009. We will be hosting some other speakers to come and to teach courses: such as an Anatomy & Physiology course. We will be attending many more health shows and festivals this year, as well as some OK In Health " Meet & Greet" nights in different areas.

How we promote OK In Health
We invest in promoting the OK in Health website by advertisement on TV and in newspapers plus health magazines such as: Issues, Gala, Common Ground, Aromascent Journal, Canadian and Irish health magazines, and community newspapers like: Penticton Herald and Tourist magazines, Kelowna Courier, Kelowna and Penticton Rec Guides, South Okanagan Desert Connections, Vernon, Kootenay's newspapers.
You can also find our posters in health stores and health & wellness businesses. We attend health shows and provide brochures to Canadian & Irish Health Fairs, BC Parades, Practitioner's offices, at workshop and events. For more details see our promotional page and testimonials.
