Archangel Michael's Leyline and Sacred Sites in Ireland - June 2019

What are Leylines?...

By Maria O'Farrell Carr

Archangel Michael's Leyline

One of the main Earth's Leylines is called the St. Michael's Leyline. It extends from Ireland, through Britain, France, Greece and across Europe. It then forks into ancient Judea, Israel and Egypt, and connects to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

The proper name of Michael's Leyline is called Apollo-Artemis Leyline.

What are Leylines?

Most cultures have traditions and words to describe the straight, often geometric alignments that ran across ancient landscapes, connecting both natural and sacred prehistoric structures together. Usually the names given to represent these invisible lines are translated to an equivalent of 'spirit', 'dream', or 'energy' paths.

'Leylines are hypothetical alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and megaliths. Their existence was suggested in 1921 by the amateur archaeologist Alfred Watkins, whose book 'The Old Straight Track' brought the alignments to the attention of the wider public.

Ley-Markers:

The following natural and man-made features were suggested by Watkins to be reliable ley-markers: Mounds, Long-barrows, Cairns, Cursus, Dolmens, Standing stones, mark-stones, Stone circles, Henges, Water-markers (moats, ponds, springs, fords, wells), Castle, Beacon-hills, Churches, Cross-roads, Notches in hills, Camps (Hill-forts),

Saint Michael's Leyline

skellig islandThe Saint Michael Leyline is largely intact because of the work of the Druids. During the destruction of Atlantis, these alchemists fled into monasteries in Europe and Egypt. The most prolific of these were the sects in Britain and France who, along with the vibration of sound, used the anti-gravity aspects of Leylines to form stone circles, such as the one at Stonehenge in England and sites in Ireland.

The Saint Michael ley line runs across Ireland for several hundred miles, intersecting with various sacred sites that have been dedicated to Saint Michael.

One of the original amplification points of this ley is a 230 metre rock, called Skellig Michael, which stands in the Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of Ireland. For 600 years since the seventh century AD, it was a centre of monastic life for Christian monks who lived in a monastery that still exists there today.

The Saint Michael Leyline intersects with another significant Leyline at this monastery. It is interesting to note that this second ley line goes on to connect to Saint Michael’s Mount in England, to Mont Saint Michel in France and so on. But what is most interesting is that it comes to an end in Israel, at Mount Carmel, where Jesus lived among the order of the Essenes.

Maria O'Farrell Carr guides Sacred Tours to Ireland each year and we will be visiting sites on the Michael LeyLines. Weather permitting we hope to see the Sacred Skellig Michael Island which is believed to be the starting point of the line. We will also be visiting many ley markers, stones circles, dolmens as well as having the opportunity to visit many sacred ancient sites in Ireland.

Wellness Tip
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is critical to good health. It helps keep your teeth and gums healthy, aids in absorbing iron, supports wound healing, and plays a role in immune system health. Registered dietitian recommends consuming at least one vitamin C rich food each day. Good choices include green peppers, strawberries, citrus fruits, tomatoes, and broccoli. A serving or two of 100% orange, grapefruit or tomato juice is also a quick, easy way to boost vitamin C intake.
