Archangel Michael's Leyline and Sacred Sites in Ireland - September 2017

What are Leylines?...

By Maria O'Farrell Carr

Archangel Michael's Leyline

One of the main Leylines is called the St. Michael's Leyline. It extends from Ireland, through Britain and across Europe. It then forks into ancient Judea, Israel and Egypt, and connects to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

What are Leylines?

Most cultures have traditions and words to describe the straight, often geometric alignments that ran across ancient landscapes, connecting both natural and sacred prehistoric structures together. Usually the names given to represent these invisible lines are translated to an equivalent of 'spirit', 'dream', or 'energy' paths.

'Ley lines are hypothetical alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and megaliths. Their existence was suggested in 1921 by the amateur archaeologist Alfred Watkins, whose book 'The Old Straight Track' brought the alignments to the attention of the wider public'.

Ley-Markers:

The following natural and man-made features were suggested by Watkins to be reliable ley-markers: Mounds, Long-barrows, Cairns, Cursus, Dolmens, Standing stones, mark-stones, Stone circles, Henges, Water-markers (moats, ponds, springs, fords, wells), Castle, Beacon-hills, Churches, Cross-roads, Notches in hills, Camps (Hill-forts),

Saint Michael ley line

skellig islandThe Saint Michael Leyline is largely intact because of the work of the Druids. During the destruction of Atlantis, these alchemists fled into monasteries in Europe and Egypt. The most prolific of these were the sects in Britain and France who, along with the vibration of sound, used the anti-gravity aspects of Leylines to form stone circles, such as the one at Stonehenge in England and sites in Ireland.

The Saint Michael ley line runs across Ireland for several hundred miles, intersecting with various sacred sites that have been dedicated to Saint Michael.

One of the original amplification points of this ley is a 230 metre rock, called Skellig Michael, which stands in the Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of Ireland. For 600 years since the seventh century AD, it was a centre of monastic life for Christian monks who lived in a monastery that still exists there today.

The Saint Michael Leyline intersects with another significant Leyline at this monastery. It is interesting to note that this second ley line goes on to connect to Saint Michael’s Mount in England, to Mont Saint Michel in France and so on. But what is most interesting is that it comes to an end in Israel, at Mount Carmel, where Jesus lived among the order of the Essenes.

Maria Carr guides trips to Ireland each year and we will be visiting sites on the Michael LeyLines. Weather permitting we hope to visit Sacred Skellig Michael Island which is believed to be the starting point of the line. We will also be visiting many ley markers as well as having the opportunity to visit many sacred ancient sites in Ireland.
This tour is being guided by Arch Angel Michael.

Wellness Tip
Dried fruit
Looking for a convenient way to eat 5 fruits and vegetables a day? Consider keeping dried fruit on hand for a quick and healthy snack. Our registered dietitian recommends dried figs, apricots, raisins, plums, blueberries, peaches, pears, or dates along with plenty of water. Dried fruit contains more nutrients and calories than an equal amount of whole fruit. A golf ball sized portion counts as 1 fruit serving. No washing, peeling, or slicing required!

Keeping Children Safe
“Don’t talk to strangers; Stay inside where it’s ‘safe’; Stay off the internet chat lines. Look out! Be careful.” Such well-meaning comments can go a long way to undermining our child’s self-confidence, and our fear for their safety may shut down the greatest chance of survival our child has in any situation – their connection to their own instincts which have the ability to keep them safe.

Recipe
Healthy Red Potato Salad
Category: Salads
Description: This salad will be very satisfying with a green salad with a few raw vegies and perhaps a little feta cheese and light dressing. Red Potato salads are delicious especially during the summer and there is an endless variety of tastes when you try different herbs and vegetables.

Red potatoes are perfectly healthy, as long as you don't spoil them by adding unhealthy condiments, such as sour cream. Did you know that red potatoes are lower glycemic because it has resistant starch. Red potatoes are higher in nutrients than other potatoes. Resistant starch occurs when some complex carbohydrates, like rice and potatoes are cooked and then chilled. It is starch that "resists" digestion enough to make it slow burning so it keeps your blood sugar level. Your appetite suppressing hormone rises and you stay fuller longer which makes it a great midday meal or part of a main meal.
