Some healthy benefits of all-purpose mix flour

Contains tapioca starch
Tapioca starch works well in a number of recipes, especially for baking pies, making flat breads and creating snacks such as chips and wafers. Because tapioca starch is a thickener, it can be used to thicken soups, puddings and gravies. It also adds chewiness to a recipe.

Guar gum is a soluble fiber and helps your body digests and absorbs the nutrients from foods. It can help to thicken, bind, and stabilize the ingredients in foods. Guar gum also lowers cholesterol and Cuisine Soleil - all-purpose mix flour helps to manage blood sugar.

Need some tips to cook gluten-free?*

1) Increase baking powder to your recipe 15 ml (1 tbsp.) per 250 ml (1 cup) flour, you’ll get a larger final product.

2) Let the bread dough rest for 30 minutes to one hour (overnight for pastes rice flour) before adding the yeast agent. This promotes a better texture.

3) Increase the amount of protein in the recipe to give more structure and to improve the quality of the final product. You can add an egg again, use evaporated milk instead of regular milk or even add powdered milk.

4) Stir well the flour before measuring and. Sift the flour with the other dry ingredients.

5) Use smaller pans for best results.

6) Add a bowl of water in the oven to prevent drying of gluten-free products during cooking.

7) Keep your gluten free products in airtight containers in the freezer. It will be less likely to harden.

Wellness Tip
Mold - What to do?
If you notice a spot of mold on a brick of hard cheese, such as cheddar, what should you do? To be on the safe side, trim off one inch of cheese under all moldy surfaces. The rest of the brick of cheese is usually okay to eat. If you see mold on a soft cheese, like cream cheese or cottage cheese, don't remove the mold and eat the rest. Throw the soft cheese away.

Understanding our Dreams
All of us need sleep to function properly the next day, yet not everyone can claim that they dream. Why? Do we all dream? If so, why do only a few remember them? Why do some recall their dreams and others don’t? What do our dreams mean? While there are many answers to these questions given from a diverse range of experts, there is no common agreement about the true purpose of dreaming. Kryon, an entity channeled by Lee Carroll, helps unravel this puzzle, and gives us a new way of looking at dreams.

Recipe
Curried Greens with Tomatoes
Category: Side Dishes
Description: This recipe calls for 1 pound spinach, kale, collards or beet greens (or mixture of all). When some people hear the word "greens", they immediately conjure up childhood memories of overcooked lumps of vegetation they were forced to eat and hated. But the vegetable section of the grocery or health store is a different world today, brimming with a variety of greens such as spinach, chard, kale, mustard, collards and bok choy that are tasty as well as excellent sources of vitamins and minerals. Iron, calcium and folic acid (an important B vitamin that helps prevent birth defects and offers protection from heart disease) are abundant in these leafy veggies.
Greens can have strong tastes, but we encourage you to experiment with varieties you've never tried or haven't had in a while. You'll be in for a pleasant surprise.
