Gluten Free all purpose flour

This month, we discover our all-purpose mix flour!

Our all-purpose mix flour is THE perfect substitute to wheat flour for making cakes, muffins, bread, crackers, crepes or any other delicious recipes. It contains natural and quality certified organic ingredients such as rice flour, tapioca starch, chickpeas, rice bran extract and guar gum. 

Some healthy benefits of all-purpose mix flour

Contains tapioca starch
Tapioca starch works well in a number of recipes, especially for baking pies, making flat breads and creating snacks such as chips and wafers. Because tapioca starch is a thickener, it can be used to thicken soups, puddings and gravies. It also adds chewiness to a recipe.

Contains guar gum
Guar gum is a soluble fiber and helps your body digests and absorbs the nutrients from foods. It can help to thicken, bind, and stabilize the ingredients in foods. Guar gum also lowers cholesterol and Cuisine Soleil - all-purpose mix flour helps to manage blood sugar.

Need some tips to cook gluten-free?*

1) Increase baking powder to your recipe 15 ml (1 tbsp.) per 250 ml (1 cup) flour, you’ll get a larger final product.

2) Let the bread dough rest for 30 minutes to one hour (overnight for pastes rice flour) before adding the yeast agent. This promotes a better texture.

3) Increase the amount of protein in the recipe to give more structure and to improve the quality of the final product. You can add an egg again, use evaporated milk instead of regular milk or even add powdered milk.

4) Stir well the flour before measuring and. Sift the flour with the other dry ingredients.

5) Use smaller pans for best results.

6) Add a bowl of water in the oven to prevent drying of gluten-free products during cooking.

7) Keep your gluten free products in airtight containers in the freezer. It will be less likely to harden.
