Centre Of Gravity - Thank You

Eva and I had a fantastic time at Center Of Gravity last weekend in Kelowna, BC. We have been really close friends since elementary school, and I’m lucky enough to say that we’re still best friends today! We got to have a great weekend together watching a ton of different sports, listening to music, and meeting some great people at Center Of Gravity. Our favourite events were the wake boarding competition and the always entertaining zorb soccer games. Our weekend was fantastic thanks to the wonderful people at OK In Health E-Magazine and the Center Of Gravity for offering the two sport passes Contest. ! We want to give a big thanks for giving us this great experience together before we part ways in the fall for university. We will definitely attend the festival again next year! from Emma R. Subject: feedback
Message: Wow! what a huge amount of Listings you have in the e-Magazine. Well done. You are a wonder surely !! Much appreciation, P.O

It's been fun following your progress from your first year. I enjoy reading your e-magazine and have promoted it in my newspaper column in Salmon Arm. In this issue I learned that Adam McLeod is coming to the Okanagan on Sept. 26 and I plan to be there for his all-day workshop. In the past I have taken his workshops in Burnaby, Vancouver and Victoria. This time he will be just an hour and a half away and he will share experiences since he became a naturopathic doctor, and since he opened a clinic in Vancouver.
Sally

Hi.... I really value all of your mail. It is awesome! THANKS!!!!!!! Your site is wonderful!! I Love it!! You need to be complimented for your time and effort!

Congratulation to your achievement ( 1st page on search engines), well deserved! Klaus Ferlow from Vancouver

Love your health & wellness network & eMagazine. I feel it is important to continue to support the networks that have been supporting us for years. Your eMagazine was the first on-line eMagazine we had. Other Magazine such has Health Action network, Common Ground and Issues Magazine have also been around for decades supporting the wellness communities. You saw the vision of the internet at the grass root level and made it happen. You have continue to offer low cost or free promotions of local practitioners, teachers, healers and local wellness businesses. We are so blessed to have such a positive network that puts community first. Now we see tons of websites and magazines starting up. I want to write to say as I will continue to welcome new websites and magazines but for you to know my loyalty is with the OK In Health eMagazine. Keep up the good work and here is to another 10 years of community networking and support and the eMagazine.
Karl, Lake Country

Wellness Tip
Turn Down the Heat with Spicy Foods
Do you ever find your mouth on heat overload when eating spicy food? When this happens, don't reach for a glass of water to cool down. Water actually spreads the hot sensation inside the mouth. Your best bet is to drink skim or low-fat milk, which contains a protein that calms down the heat from peppers. Nibbling on a piece of dry bread, chips or plain rice can also help. All will help ease the pain and burning from too many hot spices.

Saint Brigid Celtic Goddess Brigid
Goddess Brigit was thought to have been a Sun Goddess, who was born at sunrise. It is said that when She was born a tower of flame burst forth from Her forehead from Earth to Heaven. She is the daughter of the Dagda. Brigit was one of the great Triple Goddesses of the Celtic people. Both Brigit and Imbolc represent the stirring of life again after the dead months of the winter.

Recipe
Irish Soda Brown Bread (No Yeast)
Category: Breakfast
Description: Baking is back and everyone wants a slice.
The truth is, though, that in some parts of the world, baking never went away. In some parts of the world, long walks end in buttered brown bread and huge mugs of tea. In some parts of the world, smoked salmon must be eaten with an oven-fresh loaf and a squeeze of lemon.
We happen to know where that part of the world is.
The Food Revolution sped through Ireland and its legacy is a tasty one. Foraging is a food trend favourite and Burren Lamb is gracing plates from Clare to Canberra. Galway and Louth oysters are making their way steadily up the list of most delicious delicacies, and cafés have embraced the cappuccino as a long lost beverage brother.
In short, Ireland is tasty.
But no matter how funky food gets or how innovative chefs become, a country should always save space for the classics.
In Ireland’s case, that classic is Soda Bread.
Baked is beautiful
“People are waking up to the smell of real bread again – I’m thrilled and delighted.”
“When you think about it – it’s a complex carbohydrate, it’s full of fibre, and it keeps you full for much longer than a slice of processed white bread would. It’s also seriously delicious.”
