Publisher's Message ~ May 2012 Issue

Have you ever dreamed of going to Ireland?

We are so excited to annouce that we have arranged a 14 day Celtic Angel tour to Ireland in March 2013, hosted by Irish born Maria Carr’s and facilitated by Cindy Smith’s who will be teaching the Angel Empowerment Practitioners course.
It will be a trip of a lifetime.
Tour to IrelandTour to Ireland - See Details
Take our Mystical OK In Health’s Private Escorted Tour and discover fabled Ireland on this magnificent Ireland vacation into the heart of the country. Tour Ireland from the staggeringly spectacular mountain passes of wild Wicklow to the valleys and glens of Kerry, this private tour package delves deep into the heart of mystical Ireland. Find the Ireland that you hoped still existed and the real Ireland of to-day.

Connect with the Ancient Energy

“Embrace your angels; embrace yourself in a land surrounded with history and magical energy. Connect with your own inner wisdom, guidance & intuition. Take this opportunity to learn how to use the Angel Empowerment Practitioner tools for self or others. “My angel team is very excited to teach while in the Ancient Energy & Wisdom of Ireland. I am personally excited to see, feel, hear and know all that we will be guided to learn from our Angels. I have been blessed to witness how energy of certain areas empowers students, and my team tells me that Ireland will greatly intensify this experience of connection with self and energy. At this point I can only imagine how easy it is going to be for students to move from, “I CAN’T TO I CAN.” I am grateful that Archangel Michael has guided Maria and I together to create this space for others to experience infinite possibilities.” Cindy Smith

Glueten-Free & Sugar-Free Honey Apple Cake

Description:
Here is a surprisingly light and delicious cake that is sugar free. It is gluten free as well. Make the Honey Meringue to top it off and you have a wonderful dessert to serve your guests. The 3 key health benefits of honey are related to the fact that: 1. Honey is nature's energy booster 2. Honey is a great immunity system builder 3. Honey is a natural remedy for many ailments The health benefits of honey go beyond its great taste. A great natural source of carbohydrates which provide strength and energy to our bodies, honey is known for its effectiveness in instantly boosting the performance, endurance and reduce muscle fatigue of athletes. Its natural sugars play an important role in preventing fatigue during exercise. The glucose in honey is absorbed by the body quickly and gives an immediate energy boost, while the fructose is absorbed more slowly providing sustained energy. It is known that honey has also been found to keep levels of blood sugar fairly constant compared to other types of sugar.

Sandra's Caesar Salad with Hemp Seeds and Dulse

Description:
The Benefits of Dulse Seaweed - Dulse is a reddish-brown seaweed that people have harvested for hundreds of years as a food source, as a skin care and cosmetic ingredient and as a nutritional supplement. Available in most health food stores either fresh or dried, dulse is rich in nutrients like iron and magnesium and its high protein content makes it an important vegetable for people who cannot get their protein from animal products. Scientifically known as palmaria palmata, dulse is a red algae or seaweed. The regions of the northern coast of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans are the areas which are populated with this sea weed. This species, according to records, was harvested by some monks about 1,400 years ago. As I mentioned, people in Ireland are well aware of the different dulse benefits and so do people in China, Japan, Canada and North European countries. The popularity of this seaweed comes from its high content in vitamins and other essential nutrients required by the body. Dulse is usually soaked in water and added to soups, salads, and other dishes.

Virgin Margarita with Rock Salt Crystals Sole

Description:
A great way to replenish our body of necessary salt is to make a fabulous crystal salt solution known as Sole. This recipes uses 2 tablespoons of Sole. There is an unlimited potential of Energy released when water and crystal salt combine in this process. By soaking the crystals in filtered water, the negative poles of the water molecules surround the positive ions in the salt and the negative ions in the salt are surrounded by the positive polarized particles of the water molecules. This changes the geometric structure of the water and the salt, and creates something entirely new.

Dear Ok In Health eMagazine,
I am looking for ideas for a milk substitute that is Lactose Free, Gluten Free, Non Dairy and Soy Free. Any suggestions?
from Trudy, Kelowna

Hello Trudy,
Have you tried the Flax milk? It is all natural and a great source of Omega-3s that come from the cold-pressed flax seeds. It is also vegan, Trans Fat Free, Allergen Free, Vegan, organic and best of all they supports green farming. One of the Flax milk I tried recently was by Good Karma Food.

Another option is the new Amande yogurt. It is made from Almonds and is Vegan, dairy free, Gluten free, Soy free, Certified non-GMO, artificial ingredients or preservatives, and is a family-owned and operated. Almond yogurt may satisfies your craving for a luscious, creamy alternative to milk yogurts.

You will find Flax Milk and Amande at your local Health store.

We invite you to join our on-line book club discussion as we explore three well-respected teachers' perspectives on "The Shadow Effect: Illuminating the Hidden Power of Your True Self".

If you are noticing that you have less energy than you would like; that you are annoyed by what is happening in the world around you and you would like it to change; you feel disconnected from others and yourself, or you are feeling like something is holding you back from living the life you were meant to live - there is a good chance that the answer lies in your shadow.

These three luminaries, Chopra, Ford and Williamson - each with a signature approach, bring to light the parts of ourselves that we deny but that still direct our life and create obstacles to happiness.

Are you ready to shine some light on the dark place hidden in the shadow that holds the key to feeling peaceful and whole? It takes courage, but you are not alone. Together we will find our way through and explore the unexplored - the shadow self.

~ Lyndsay

Review of 2011’s Spring Festival of Awareness

Wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded people. There are so workshops to attend that it is hard to choose because they are all great. Really enjoyed the opening and closing group ceremonies and treatments at the healing oasis. I go on my own each year and love meeting new friends. A Green Environment for Now and the Future by Dalai Lama
If we look around, we can now see that those houses in the monasteries and in various camps where people have planted fruit trees, now enjoy great benefit as a consequence of their action. First of all, if there is a tree in your courtyard it creates around it an atmosphere of natural beauty and serenity. It is also obvious that you can eat the fruits from the tree, sit under it and enjoy the cool shade. What was required on your part was a little patience to allow some time for the tree to grow up....
