It is an uplevel training in consciousness thinking, following the Level I Healing Massage Certificate Course. However, anyone who is interested who wishes to learn Hot Stone massage or to enhance their practitioners’ business as well as their entire lives, is welcome to register. Part of the philosophy of Focus Bodywork is “do what you love to do, and the money & happiness will follow!” We also believe it is important to balance the logical brain with the inuitive. A certificate will be given after a practicum of 25 hot stone massages is completed following the course. The program curriculum includes the following:-
-detailed background information and instruction for Healing Hot Stone Massage, including lots of hands on training,
-the importance of mindfulness, and how to aspire to it
- a group Integrated Breath Session, which works at a cellular level to help you create more of what you want in life! (value for this alone is $100/person)

I attended the Healing Massage course instructed by Sharon Strang Feb 6 week-end 2009. What a pleasure it was to be in the company of like-minded people. Through Sharon’s relaxed manner, yet outgoing personality and through her personal stories she shared I was able to see things differently in the way I give my treatments. She has given me my confidence back, I once again love doing massage. A huge thank-you to you Sharon. I would recommend this course.

Sharon is a fun, energetic, informative and knowledgeable teacher. She gave me excellent training to start an exciting career into relaxation massage. Thank you Sharon for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams.

I have had the privilege of being a student in two of Sharon Strang’s massage classes. Relaxation Level I and Hot Stone Massage. I found Sharon’s classes to be interesting, informative, and easy to understand. Sharon works at a comfortable pace and is happy to answer all questions knowledgeably. Her lessons are filled with practical experience, humour and valuable information on how to set up your own massage practice.

Sharon keeps the class size small and manageable so that all of the students get her one to one attention. The classes are hands on and gives you the confidence to learn the massage techniques in a comfortable and safe learning environment that is very enjoyable. She also incorporates breathing and meditation into the class in the morning. It becomes a nice way to start the day.

I have completed my first practicum and received my certificate to practise from Sharon. My clients, friends, and family have given me excellent feedback regarding my massage techniques and I feel confident in my abilities. I would not hesitate to recommend Sharon Strang’s massage courses, she is a gifted teacher.

Sharon Strang, the instructor, has been teaching massage for over 24 years. Her personal growth background, experience, and education has helped her to support many people in learning to do massage in an enjoyable, easy-to-learn format. She is the former owner of The Wellness Spa, which she successfully managed for over 13 years in Kelowna, B.C. At present, she teaches weekend Healing Massage Certificate Courses a few times a year at Okanagan College in Kelowna B.C., where she has been employed for the past 8 years. She is now offering many private courses, beyond just massage, to help practitioners start & expand their business. Sharon aspires to teach courses all over Canada. Last September, she taught a weekend Healing Massage course in Golden, B.C., and one in Fort St. John in April. If you would like her to do a course in your town, she would need a minimum number of students, but would be happy to plan it with you. Just give her a call or email!
