Haribhajan Khalsa is certified to teach Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) by the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA). He has also completed Level 2 advanced training in Authentic Relationships and Conscious Communication. Haribhajan began his practice of Kundalini Yoga in 2000. He is one of the founders of an annual Men’s Yoga Retreat on the Sunshine Coast (Khalsa Men’s Camp) and he led a monthly Men’s New Moon Meditation in Vancouver. He taught regularly at Yoga West, Rhodes Wellness College and Point Grey Community Centre. He is a healer trained in vibrational psychology, focused energy work and various meditational systems. He is a wellness workshop facilitator and was included in Waking Up the West Coast - Healers and Visionaries published in 2006. He is an accomplished reader of the tarot and is currently creating a new tarot deck based on the teachings of Yogi Bhajan called Tarot for the Aquarian Age.

at a different Kelowna Regional Park with a park interpreter

Take A Hike With the Regional District. Enjoy a free guided hike each Wednesday, Friday and some weekends. Visit a different Regional Park each week with a park interpreter who will highlight special features. Please make sure you are prepared with appropriate clothing, a hat, sturdy shoes, sun protection and a water bottle. This is a great way to get out and get some exercise! There are hikes of varying lengths and skill levels. We’ve even scheduled some outings that your leashed dog is welcome to accompany you on! Slithering Good Time – Okanagan Snakes

Saturday July 5th at 10am. From Garter snakes to rattlers, you'll learn all about the various snakes that call the Okanagan Valley home during this session with well-known local naturalist Scott Alexander. Sunday July 20. Time: 1:00 pm. Get your family more in tune with nature with two events at one location. The Regional Parks Department invites you to take part in the free ‘Nature Program for Families’, Sunday, July 20th starting at 1:00 pm. Start off with a tour of the ‘Forest Story: The Trees, The Beetles and You’ exhibit in the Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan. Afterwards, join a Regional Parks interpreter for a special guided hike through Mission Creek Regional Park. The EECO is located in Mission Creek Regional Park, Springfield and Durnin Roads. The main vendors' marketplace will be located on the sunset veranda, a 2000 square foot, and open-air, covered space including an outdoor venue for a mini farmers' market.  The sustainability lecture series and Organic Okanagan Film Festival will be held in the pyramid, with First Nations cultural experiences and a local music area surrounding the elegant Mallam Heritage House that has been on the property for 110 years.  This opens up space for 50+ exhibitors, with hands-on activities:  mini home energy audits, local food cooking demonstrations, an organic taste challenge and children's corner. The South Okanagan Seniors Wellness Society will host its 17th annual Seniors Symposium trade fair. Over 5000 people attend this exciting trade fair each year. This year the Seniors Wellness Society has partnered with Okanagan College to present a research conference on Brain Health & Aging in conjunction with the trade fair.
